Asian America Trading, Inc. Recalls Ineligible Siluriformes Fish Products Imported From the People’s Republic of China

<p><strong>WASHINGTON, August 17, 2026 </strong>– Asian America Trading, Inc., a Hayward, Calif. firm, is recalling approximately 996 pounds of ready-to-eat fish skin products prepared from Pangasius fish because they were produced in The People’s Republic of China, a country that is not eligible to export Ready-To-Eat Siluriformes product to the United States.&nbsp;</p> <p>The following products are subject to recall are [<a href="/sites/default/files/food_label_pdf/2026-08/Recall-016-2026-Labels.pdf">view labels</a>]:&nbsp;</p> <ul type="disc"> <li>50-g plastic bag packages containing “CRISPY FISH SKIN CRACKERS, SALTED EGG.”&nbsp;</li> <li>50-g plastic bag packages containing “FISH SKIN CRACKERS, SPICY FLAVOUR”</li> <li>50-g plastic bag packages containing “UN CHI CRISP FISH SKIN, Wasabi Flavour”&nbsp;</li> <li>50-g plastic bag packages containing “UN CHI CRISP FISH SKIN, Laver Flavour.”</li> </ul> <p>These items were shipped to retail locations in California.</p> <p>The problem was discovered during routine FSIS surveillance activities of imported products in commerce.&nbsp;</p> <p>There have been no confirmed reports of illness or injury due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about an illness or injury should contact a health care provider.&nbsp;</p> <p>FSIS is concerned that some product may be in consumers’ pantries.&nbsp;Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them.
