<p><strong>WASHINGTON, May 20, 2025 </strong>– Snack Mania Brazilian Delights Corp., an Elizabeth, N.J. restaurant, is recalling approximately 9,722 pounds of ready-to-eat chicken coxinhas products that were produced without the benefit of federal inspection, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.</p> <p>The frozen ready-to-eat chicken coxinhas products were produced on various dates from June 27, 2024, through May 02, 2025. The following product is subject to recall [<a href="https://www.fsis.usda.gov/sites/default/files/food_label_pdf/2025-05/recall-017-2025-labels.pdf">view labels</a>]:</p> <ul> <li>16.37-oz. plastic packages of “Snack Mania COXINHAS BRAZILIAN STUFFED BITES Original Chicken” as represented on the label.</li> </ul> <p>This item was shipped to retail locations in Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</p> <p>The problem was discovered during routine FSIS surveillance activities when FSIS determined that the chicken coxinhas products did not have the USDA mark of inspection and were produced in a facility that was not inspected by USDA.</p> <p>There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>FSIS is concerned that some product may be in consumers’ refrigerators or freezers. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.</p> <p>FSIS routinely conducts recall effectiveness checks to verify recalling firms notify their<strong> </strong>customers of the recall and that steps are taken to make certain that the product is no longer available to consumers.
